Some supplies arrived last week for some little improvements to the 1:6 room.
I'm massively inspired by Gamja's amazing little doll rooms. I wish I could afford to buy one on Yahoo! JP but they go for so many thousands of yen. Instead I'm going to try to make my 1:6 room a little more detailed. Starting with new windows!
I didn't want to cut an actual hole in the wall so I had to build a wooden frame around the windows (which, unfortunately means they stick out from the wall a bit more than they should) and paint it white to match. Then I glued the acetate "pane" to the window and blue tacked the picture to that.
The windows aren't permanently attached to the walls yet, I just blue tacked them up for now to see how they'd look. It might be ok to keep them removable in case I want to change the room around in the future.
On the table are some little wooden picture frames for the wall. I haven't decided what to have in them yet. And the rest of the wood is for making some little furniture.
